This is on my site. but I thought I would share it here.
This Headgear was meant to be of a Scientific nature to me. I wanted to work out a way one could share their feelings with another on a physical level.
The spine, nose, neck and mouth are all equiped with tubes. The spine is to collect the chemicals as the travel up to your brain stem. This is the most important part as it's best place to capture chemicals like Dopamine and Seratonin. These are rushed to the container in the front. Just a split-second afterwards, the aroma in your nose and the taste in your mouth is sent to the same container.
Then the syringe is used to transfer your "Mood" to whomever is interested in feeling what you are feeling. I would have to imagaine this would be great for Heroin users as it provides a two-fer. BUT! As you can see. This woman is starting to rot. The use of this device forces your body to create a duplicated amount of chemicals in your body which in turn accelerates your aging process based on the amount of times it is used. I'll explain this because there is a little grey area as to why.
The normal assumption would be if a person extracted the chemicals that are creating their current state of being, they would mo longer feel it once it has been extracted. True. But this device is synapse-activated. It sense this stimuli and catches it before it reaches the brain stem. When the stem realizes it has not received it merchandise, it continues to signal until it is effected. Hence the rapid depletion of vital chemicals. But it's this method that allows the entire concentration to be collected for your parasite. Or, I mean friend. Or whatever.
Your right. Although, the scan may be a little darker. But it could be better with more mid-tones.
Especiallu with the fact that it's metal and rubber. I have a colored verion somewhere. But like everything else in my life, it's lost.
Love Giger. And amazing man. Who else would say after 20 years art art, "I've only done about 575 pieces. I feel that I could have worked harder." Damn!
Thanks for the good words!
